You can patch games to run at 16:9, 1080i, and 720p. It doesn't work with every game and requires component cables or a component to hdmi converter.

Dang, I'm tempted to try building one myself! Have any interest in selling the sound cards at some point? Or at least releasing the cad file for printing at like, OSHpark?

This is hella promising. I'm following this. It'd be even cooler if we could use the wireless adapter+arduino. I've got some Arduino Nano's I would love to test when you have some code ready.
