  1. Hi there, my Xbox is already softmodded with Rocky5s Softmod. On this machine I used the older softmodding-method via an old PC with P-ATA connectors (hot swapping etc). I already upgraded the outdated softmod with Rocky5s Extras Disc. But I will get another Xbox to softmod and for that reason I want to test a just bought Splinter Cell Game Disc on my ALREADY softmodded machine. Is that safe? I planned to just get to the point where I load the "Linux" savegame in Splinter Cell (after that the Xbox's light turns red and you usually get to the XBOX softmodding screen, where it says "Press A Button") At that point I'd say the game disc works and I'd simply turn of my console. Thank you.
  2. Changing your HDD Key AFTER the successful registration of your Xbox to Insignia is a bad idea. Cause then you cannot login to Insignia with that console any more. In such a case you will need the staff from Insignia to help you out.
  3. These "weird" names show some sort of bad rip or corrupt game archive. I'd rip them again via DVD2Xbox and see if that helps.
  4. I'd do the same. Turn it on and see if its modded or not. If it's hardmoddet it could take any HDD. Doesn't need to be a lockable HDD.
  5. @Rocky5 Thank you for this explanation and your hard work. I still have a little question. I'm probably not the only one in the situation you just descirbed (Xbox already nulled, old original Xbox HDD lying in a save as a backup, in case the new big HDD in the Xbox fails). So now after locking the new HDD in the Xbox to all 1s, I need a way to unlock and relock my old "Backup" to all 1s. I'd do it with Chimp, but I'm not sure how the seperate steps actually work. 1. "Connect the original (old) HDD to the Xbox as slave", OK got it 2. "Add the old nulled eeprom.bin to the Y partition and run chimp", NOT SURE how to do that, since Y is a Cache drive, won't that file be deleted immediately? When exactly do I transfer the old eeprom.bin, i. e. via FTP, to that partition? As far as I understand, I need the old eeprom JUST for unlocking the old Drive, since the Xbox cannot do it alone with its current eeprom (this eeprom is bound to HDD keys with all 1s) 3. "lock the slave drive to the motherboard ", can I pick that "lock" option under "slave drive options" then? Thank you.
