  1. With a temp modchip you can run the softmod right away without using any game. Just copy the softmodfiles to the HDD and launch the softmod installer from a filemanager.
  2. If you can get your hands on a cheap crystal case, you can try this ( Clickable Link ) :
  3. Non. It runs on hardware but isn't one it self. It's software (game engine) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mugen_(game_engine)
  4. Mostly fighting games. And belive it or not, since this is XMUGEN it's for the XBox. ANd to confuse you even more, MUGEN Is not hardware.
  5. It's nothing since achive has removed the upload.
  6. This item is no longer available.
  7. The chihiro had 128MB ram. You could add ram module/s using a addon board (Sega Chihiro Mediaboard). There you could add up to 1GB ram. Here you see an old ebay listing : https://www.ebay.com/itm/175679500190 About Stellar. I'm not realy sure what ram above 128 (or maybe 256) could be useful as long as there is no way that games can be patched to use all that ram. Just for emulation or X4G it's overkill and you be better of using a RaspPi4 4GB/8GB for emulation anyway.
  8. You need v0.60 for the 1.6 which has the option for it enabled. First step done, congrats. But check your pins on ram chip 1. Looks like there is one pin without solder (pads looks like it`s dry). Give all of you pins a gently push with some tweezers just to be sure.
  9. No Problem. Run a simple jumper wire awg30 from the pin to the via I marked in my picture and you are good to go.
  10. I wrote that in a previus post of yours. So let me answer it with a quote from you (Just because it's funny).
  11. For the 10GB. Unlock the drive on the original XBox it came from. If thats not possible you could unlock the drive on the PC. If that not possible, toss the drive. For the 80/100GB HDD's, the jumper is on master? As long as the drive are not locked and set to master they should boot. One thing you could try is to flash Cerbios to your XBox and see if it will give you more specific error masseage on the 80/100GB drives. And the Installer should detect a new hdd and should provide an option to write a partition table to it before the the installer boot. One other option is, to use an old Slayers DVD/CD and see if the XBox will boot and then - if Slayers boots, the drives shows up as 0MB free (in that case the HDD is probaly looked and you cant do anything with slayers) OR if they show there is space left then you could set it up with slayers as a first step.
  12. Did you get any error massage with the 10/80GB HDD`s? Maybe they are locked to a different XBox?
  13. Wasn't there resently a topic someone shared OC bioses and told us it's fine because it will wörk on any consoles? Best go and ask him he seems to know way better than us.
  14. And now make a second one " Life was gone on Feb 24". And to put that to good use, make it babys birhday gift for her/his 18 birthday.
  15. TBH you should not provide any OC bioses in public. Every CPU is different and so the GPU. It will wörk for you but may blow up the TSOP/Single Bank Chip of a newbie who thinks, wörks for him so it will wörk for me.
  16. Since the chip was working and he messed with the software, lets assume he deletet some of the dash files aof any kind that could lead to a frag and self rebooting behavior. So first thing to check would be to check if an install dvd will boot. Slayers (non BFM version) or OGXBox or even Hexen would be come in handy to test this. If an installer boot, it's not hardware related and a simple clean install can solve his problem.
  17. The process is the same but you need some different parts. A quick look at the 8184b
  18. The flash is fine. For the 8163b I can say thats more or less "luck" and how worn your drive is. I have one that works 50% of the time (I have a video on YT of it), 2 which decided to not do anything at all after the flash (On the PC Both where fine) and 5 others which works flawlessly. I also did a couple of 8164b which all work perfect.
  19. No. But you need an SATA to IDE adapter with Marvel Controller and ofc an 80 wire IDE cable use of the UDMA5/6 modes.
  20. The dev does on git. So why not load it there? https://github.com/GXTX/XboxOverclock/releases/download/v1.1/xbox_oc.7z
  21. There wasn't a U6 at the time but the Rankforce and new Delock are the same as the StarTech. With one exception that the mode header is soldered on the opsite side. The EOL Delock works with U6 (Still have 2 of them here).
  22. I have testet the Delock 62510, Delock 61702 & Renkforce RF-4886682. All wörk fine with UDMA5 (I have a video about it on YT). The Renkforce 973767 is untestet but I would assume since it's also a Marvel adapter that he will work just fine. And btw. there is another one the " IDE-SATA07 " which is the same as the EOL Dedlock. How ever it should not be to hard for someone with the skill, to design a custom PCB based on the marvell 88sa8052. That way you could make your own ones for less then 10 bucks (In bulk may even cheaper than that).
  23. Delock 62510, Delock 61702, Renkforce RF-4886682. Then there is also a slim Renkforce 973767 IDE 44pol - SATA 7+15pol. All of those have a config jumper. The price depends. The Delock 61702 is EOL BUT you can get these on eBay new from bella italia for ~10 Euro. The newer Delock 62510 and Renkforce RF-4886682 are between 15-22 Euros. Sometimes more sometimes less. The slim Renkforce 973767 though is a bit pricey, 20-30 Euros.
  24. We need to get rid of this StarTech stigmata. There are some SATA 2 IDE adapters out there like Renkforce or Delock which also use a Marvel controller chip. And all of these support up to UDMA6.
