  1. Thats why he wrotes " i cant get to the OGBOX installer anymore " . And you tell him boot an Installer? That realy wanna make me play the head table game cuz, even with a HDD with nothing on it, he would be able to boot an installer which he clearly say's he cant. And " Ive flashed the MS retail bios ". So you assume that he lied and tells us "just for fun" he flashed that bios? I'm so sick of reading those assumption / guessing postings which are not helpful in any way.
  2. Well, you have two options. You can buy a NANO USB programmer or get you buy new chip (Or you know someone who can flash the PLCC chip for you). Stop posting bullshit. HOW on earth should he boot an installer with a retail bios on his modchip? Do you guys even read a post (you quotet) before posting such shit? He said he cant bot the installer cuz he has flashed a retail bios to his chip and you tell him he can boot the installer with an retail bios on the chip. Fuck sake.....
  3. You answered your qustion alone. FUCKIN old aladdin. OG SST no matter what. And you see what XBlast postet on screen? Wrong files size?
  4. Softmod and chip didn't play nice with each other. Download an installer disc and set up your C&E partition with it. Your xbox then should be back to normal. And since you has an X3 in your box, drop the TSOP idea.
  5. Please post a good pic of the Aladdin you have so that I can see where the traces lead. You can make a backup of the lattice first and in case something goes wrong with the new CPLD code you can probably just flash it back.
  6. Looks like you picked the wrong file size for the bios. The Aladdin has a 256kb flash chip.
  7. It's the latest build I did that and set the Team Resugent skin as default when installing XBMC4Gamers and changed the spash.png by hand as you cn see in the pic. How ever, it possible that, if you select a different skin, the splash will change.
  8. There are also some but I always chnaged the one in the root and it always worked without problems.
  9. It's in the root dir of the XBMC4Gamers folder: E:\XBMC4Gamers\splash.png
  10. When I think about it, it could also MAYBE possible to solder a 1MB TSOP to the 1.2-1.4. Since you can split the 1MB into 4x256, you would just need to find out the right legs you have to solder which could make it a bit janky but could wörk. Needless to say you have to use wires for the install.
  11. Try to solder the 40 legs of the 1mb TSOP to the 32 pads on the later revisions. About the MCPX you should maybe ask Kaos. I would guess, that you could change the MCPX 1.1 -with a 1.4 and vice versa and the info about TSOP size etc. is just in the eeprom. That being said, I would think that you could maybe get a 256kb TSOP to work in a 1.0/1.1 but thats also just a guess. For the other way arround we wait till you managed to solder the 40 legs to the 32 pads.
  12. You can use any 32 pin tsop of any 1.2 - 1.4.
  13. ModzvilleUSA has some (not to sure if he's already set up to sell them), I have also still enough of them.... Point is, it heavely depends on the bios which is on that TSOP if a rescue is possible with an XBLast-Lite.
  14. 2 options. 1: Connect the HDD to your PC and set her up with FatXplorer 3.0. 2: Download Slayers Installer and see if the HDD will show up on your XBox then. Jumper the HDD to CS for that. If the HDD didn't show up the drive is probably faulty. You could then confirm that by trying to set up the HDD using Slayers. If the C:\ free E:\ free .... not not change, it's 99% for sure the drive is dead. EDIT ; And make sure it's Slayers 2.7 at MAX. Any later one is using a BFM bios and point 2 will not wörk,
  15. The Jafar is a custom PCB made by Kekule. And basicly they are the same.
  16. I think it's better this way because of feedback from users. That way I can make changes for the version which i add to the installer if needed or there are wishes for.
  17. And why have you hoped that?
  18. Thanks but it's actualy not that special, just a bit xml (which is not realy that hard) and some gfx voodoo which was the hard part here and took 4 days to get that sh1t up and running. 1 try full screen icon overlay worked fine till you hit ~ 3-5 icons, then they become blurry (NOT to sure why.). 2 try just a side bar overlay. archived ~ 15-16 and then the same, the icons become blurry. 3 try a image which just fits the 2 boxes on the left. Yeah... Worked till you hit ~20-22 images. The 4th and last try then was the success. Just a text image in the upper left box, a (for now) static video for the lower left box (may going to change that when I'm not that pissed at the theme anymore *lol*). How ever, it would be pretty interesting to know why unelashx causes the problem (I assume refresh problem or noth enough image cache) that the icon images become blurry and if it could be fixed or maybe a second icon/image option added. Let's tag @Rocky5 and see if he has an idea.
  19. OGXBox Boot Menu Just a simple boot menu which offers the function to not just launch your DVD or Dash, you can also set one dash as default if you wish. Ofc FTP is also available set to DHCP (you can change that in the settings). XBlast can be launched from the Misc menu as well as the File Explorer. It may come handy for the one or the other. If you sell pre modded xboxes it can be useful to let the buyer decide what he wants. How ever, here is the DL folder (maybe for updates but it should be bug free), a video which shows the options, and a simple screen shot. Peace. 20. Fair enough. How ever, there is a reason not to flash a higher UDMA as UDMA2 mode to a TSOP (EVEN Cerb has the save mode).
  21. General system failure. Often caused by an improper modchip install. May indicate a RAM error. Had that a couple of days ago as I made another 1.3b. with only 64mb of Hynix ram. One leg was loose.
  22. Why? The flasher copies the files on his own and loads XBLast so you can flash it.
  23. I somehow like the right one.
  24. Remove the red wire from the modchip. Then remove the rest and put it aside or in the bin. Then take a look at the pic below. Solder a SMALL wire to the D0 point on the bottom and solder the other end to GND. The chip is then always on. About your HDD. if your HDD error is a " HDD timeout" it's probably on the way to pass out.
