  1. I figured it out. for some reason FileZilla was not uploading the full files. I had to go thru and manually upload every file basically one by one to make it work properly. Pain in the butt! But it is working now.
  2. I downloaded the following emulator: https://digiex.net/threads/final-burn-consoles-1-2-download-multi-platform-emulator-for-xbox.13773/ I FTPed it into my emulator folder on the F drive where the other emulators all reside. I can see it in my emulator menu on the box but when i click it to play it acts like its going to load it but then just resets the box back into the menu. Any idea what I did wrong? I checked and the .xbe file is there.
  3. We did it!!! Drive is now fully opperational in Xbox B!!!
  4. I plan on using the following video (2nd half that describes the crossober way) to get into it. I've done this before and it worked when I could set the IP.
  5. I’m using this one right now but have the extra disc so can change to a different one if it would be easier.
  6. Good to hear! So I’m trying to get the EEPROM file from the Xbox B. I want to do that by FTPing in and getting a copy off the drive in the E/Backup folder. The problem is that when I boot Xbox B (which is soft nodded and works fine) it shows an IP of 0.0.0.0. I have tried to change it using the settings menu but it won’t hold. It just goes back to all 0s. Any advice on getting that to a normal IP so I can FTP in? im using a crossover cable and I know it works because in the past week I’ve been able to FTP direct but the 0s issue is new and I can’t get around it.
  7. Does mean this mean the drive is unlocked?
  8. I got there now and it can see the drive! Here is what I get when i try to click "3" lock drive and go thru the prompts.
  9. It does have a power supply and I know it is on because I can hear it. When I go to storage manager I can see the drive but I can not see the drive in the windows explorer window. I was hoping when i plugged it in I could see the drive and that it would show unlocked.
  10. Thanks Kaos! Are there any videos or walkthroughs on how to do this? I downloaded the Beta3 but there doesn't seem to be a very good explanation on what to do anywhere.
  11. I went out and bought the following to make the connection for the unlocked drive to work on my PC: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000J01I1G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I downloaded Xplorer 360 to my computer. I got thru all of the BS of getting Xplorer360 to work by downloading the extra files and sticking them in Sys32/64 folders. Now Xplorer open but every time I try to open a drive via Xplorer it says "Could not find a FATX drive to open!" The drive also doesn't show up when I plug into the computer in the windows explorer windows. I am using (and only have) Windows 10 machines. Is that why I can't see the drive anywhere or is there something else I am missing? Not even sure where I would find an XP machine at this point...
  12. Ok I've done a bunch of research and looks like I need to use the method below. My question is: Remember my plan was to take the drive from XBOX A and put it into XBOX B. I have already Null keyed and relocked the drive in XBOX B. This drive is the one from XBOX A. Should I lock the drive with the EEPROM from the unlocked drive which is in XBOX A (the error 5 drive) that I;m going to move to XBOX B or should I just get the EEPROM key from the drive in XBOX B and then lock this drive with EEPROM from XBOX B so that it can be used immediately in XBOX B? Also is this the correct method for me to use:
  13. In the midst of unlocking the hard drive using NKpatcher the Xbox lost power. Now I’m getting this screen. Is there anything I can do now???
  14. All, I've got Xbox with the Rocky soft mod. It is remod of an old Xbox that has all the emulators on the G drive. What is the best way for me to get emulators? I have found them online and can FTP into the Xbox but where do I add them? Should I be downloading an emulator specific software to the Xbox? Maybe there is a walkthrough somewhere that I am missing? Thanks!
  15. Are there any online tutorials on how to do this so that I don't accidentally screw up the hard drive?
  16. Can I just use the "extra disc" to Null the hard drive in the new Xbox? Will doing this now screw up and anything I have already done?
  17. I'm just trying to see what the different menu types are. The reason I asked for editing of the menu names is because the old one had the menu items named after me so I was going to change the names to my kids name. Also is there a way for me to tell which version of your soft mod I have? i bought a flash drive with it on it and when i asked which version it was the answer was "I'm not sure".
  18. I appreciated everyone helping in the other thread to be me where I am on my old Xbox! I have a question regarding swapping drives. Here is what I have: XBOX A Old xbox originally soft modded in the early 2000's. Has a 200 GB drive in it with all my games. I have re-softmodded it to the Rocky Softmod. I did not Null the hard drive when i did the Rocly soft mod (I may have done it when i originally modded this thing 15+ years ago). Xbox B Xbox I just bought. Has the factory hard drive in it. I have used the Rocky soft mod on this box and have nulled the hard drive. Can I swap the hard drive from Xbox A into Xbox B by just disconnecting and plugging it in? I want to do this because Xbox A has corrosion issues and just randomly turns off. Should I null the hard drive in Xbox A before doing this? Any help would be appreciated!
  19. I will run the update later today! Thank you! I do have the following follow-up question: On the menu that i see now (I'm using the EvoX one), can i update the names of the folders I see? The ones that say Games/Emulators/etc.? Or are those built into the system and can not be changed? Also is there an easy way to switch between the menus so that I can see which one I like most? I'm used to the EvoX one because that is the one I previously had but figure I should look at the other ones too! Thank you,
  20. I did it!!! I had to go into NKPatcher and partition the G drive and populate the folders! Thank you to everyone who helped thru the process, you should have heard how excited my 6 year old was when I just showed him the menu with everything in it!
  21. it used to have a G drive that I believe would have had all the old games, movies and emulators on it. Here is what I see when I go to look at usage of the drives currently. It looks like it made the entire drive free space on the F, which is not what it used to be. Does this mean all of the games and everything else has been erased? In all honesty it didn’t seem like the process took long enough to overwrite hundreds of games. Any way I could get into the drive and see if any of the games/emulators still exist on the drive?
  22. Alright guys here is where I am, I got the soft rocky mod loaded! It worked perfect and I am in the modded menus. Here is my problem now though: I can’t see any of my old games or emulators or videos that we’re previously visible. Did the rocky soft mod erase everything? One of the reasons I don’t think it did is because when I look at the drive sizes it says 4 GB and 4 GB for the drives. I have a 200 GB seagate in the there though. Does anyone know how I would unlock the drive so that I can see everything else that is on the drive? Does the Rocky soft mod erase everything on the drives and reformat them?
  23. Quick question for everyone: So I now have two Xboxes (the old modded one that is broken and the another one that has not been modded at all). My question is this: my original plan was to replace the DVD drive in the broken modded one and resoftmod. Thinking it thru further though the old one has had some powering on/off issues. Could I instead take the HDD out of the old one and put into the new one? Will replacing a drive like this work? Or is there something additional that needs to be done for the new Xbox to be able to read the old modded Xbox’s HDD? Thank you for any help!
  24. Thank you! Just bought a new Xbox to replace the old DVD drive, luckily it came with an original Splinter Cell game! Now I'm going to buy a USB connector and USB with your mod pre-loaded. Will be trying to resoft mod everything tomorrow night. Wish me luck!
  25. More information gathered today after hours of going back and forth on things. I have an EvoX soft mod on this thing. I was able to find the copy i made of my xbox hard drive that i made on a CD-r and that is where i got that information. I tried to run a bunch of different games and have had no luck. I believe my DVD drive is gone out. I am trying to see if I can buy an old Xbox locally to try to get parts to replace the drive and try to remod this thing using the DVD method in the video above. I have two questions: 1. Has anyone had an EvoX soft mod and accidentally gone to Xbox Live. I know that is what caused this. Any idea how to undo that and get back to the way the Xbox was before the XboxLive link was clicked? 2. Will the DVD method above work for me to re-soft mod my Xbox if the previous version is not a Rocky 5 version? The only thing I can get into is the factory Microsoft menu that has "memory, music,...". So I am unsure if the DVD method will launch for me from that original menu or if I have to remod it first to the Rocky 5 Mod? Thanks for any help!
