  1. If the hdd is clicking then its failed. Get yourself a modchip installed (open xenium or aladdin xt etc) and you can then replace the hdd

  2. Looking to sell my X3CP xbox. It's a 1.6 with a 2tb hdd and startech sata to IDE adapter with 80 wire IDE cable. The hdd isn't a fully loaded one, it allows you to put the content on that you want but does have xbmc4gamers front end and a few games/emulators on there. The Xerc 2 XE allows you to turn the console on/off via the official dvd remote and also fades the eject button LED's on and off when in standby. No controllers included, but I can include a dvd remote if required (albeit with out battery cover) Video of the actual xbox here: £350 plus postage from the UK. Postage will depend where you are obviously. PM for more info

  3. Once you install a modchip that won't be a problem anymore. You install your new hdd and use an installer disk to format it, then install your dashboard of choice and apps, games etc.

  4. There's another webpage on team-xecuter.com's site: CK3 Pro USB Drivers - Download & Instructions *Updated Jan 14 2011* instead of Blaster CK3 USB Drivers *Download & Instructions* (July 19, 2010) with the files hosted on Team Xecuter's site instead of the now defunct hotfile.com bitlocker site.

  5. Simple Swap the power and eject wires in the plug Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

  6. You will have to keep searching all the for sale sites. I see the odd 1.4ghz and some 1ghz boards popup occasionally but most of the time they want to much for them or I am too late. As for the interposer board I think it's getting closer but I would suspect there will be a shortage of P3 CPU's Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

  7. Remove the wire that's on the BT terminal then Link the BT to the GND. That should force it to always active Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

  9. I initially removed 3 caps and had a stuttering boot animation. I ended up using a different psu and replaced 2 of the caps. It was much better after that. The 5v draw on boot is around 10 amps I think so you need a psu that can supply that on startup. The psu could also be external which would help with temps and you could use the existing psu, just lengthen the wiring and make a case with a fan for it. The only thing would be the requirement for some kind of connector on the rear of the case.
