So I replaced my capacitors as suggested on my V1 motherboard due to leaking on the clock cap. Video had no problems before but now the video gets a bit intermittent/bars on the screen and the sound starts to squeal. Help me out please. Novice here so any pros would be greatly appreciated lol note I replaced the three 16V 1500 and two 10v3300 caps.

Hey, so I just got my hands on the OG Xbox. It was working fine and playing games until it started lagging really bad and so I thought it was overheating or something. I powered it off and to let it cool. Again because I thought it might need it. When I tried to power it back on the thing wouldn’t open the disc drive. Having an issue with a 1.3 xbox that I've never run in to before that I can't find a solution to. Using this xbox with any type of xblast chip/80 wire ide and any type of ide to sata adapter(including startech), the xbox will not boot the bios no matter what. When I push the power button it will always boot to xblast then I need to manually choose the cerbios bank to boot from and then it works fine. After the 128mb installation, I get no sound. I tried testing everything and still no luck on sound. It plays all the games fine and no other issues. This is a v1.4 board. Let me know if you guys know anything I should look out for. I tried wiggling wires and pressing down on certain areas where the av is. I also tried reflowing the joint for the av port but still no luck. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

My Xbox's power button is really weird. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it just doesn't. Not only that, but the green LED Light on it does not work (The Red does however). At first, I assumed it was the traces, but if the Red Light works, then it has to be the power board, right?

As the title says... I have extracted the zelda3_assets.dat as instructed many times using various rom sources and upon running the game on my Xbox i am getting an Invalid Assets error? The extracted assets file works perfectly on the PS Vita version so I am not sure the assets are the issue here, hence my question.. HAS ANYBODY GOT IT WORKING ON THEIR XBOX?? Hello, I’m trying to repair an Xbox Ver 1.1 for a friend. It has a Xenium 0449 05 M2 MT mod installed with a 160 GB HDD. I’m getting a 05 error on boot up. So, I’m assuming its booting with xbox original bios and 05 error has to do with the unlocked 160GB HDD. My question is, what options do I have here. I don’t know if Mod is bad or the HDD has an error. The mod has a red led always on and I don’t know if this is normal. If mod is ok, what options do I have to repair HDD to work with existing Xenium mod.I have checked the D0 wire and it is ok. Thanks

Don't think it was ever used. The drive/card packaging was never opened, don't think the DVD's have ever been taken out of their cases. Did plug it in and it fires up, but haven't done anything else with it. I also have an old modded XBox that has been sitting in a closet for many years, recently pulled it out to play with my kids and we started reading online about replacing the cap's in them. It still works but we'll do that soon, but then I remembered we have this thing just sitting in a box. What would you do? Sell it and let a buyer open it up and fix...open it up ourselves...

Noticed a werid issue with my DVD Drive. Besides it getting stuck, sometimes the DVD drive goes to far out. So when it goes back in, it makes a horrible squewking noise. I tried replacing the belt, and while it did fix it not getting stuck, it still goes too far out and squeaks when it goes back in. Any help?
