XC-3730C
Every game run on this emu suffers from screen tearing. The only way that I found to circumvent this issue is to go into:Configuration -> Video Configuration -> Other Video Configurations -> Xbox Hardware Filtering and change it to Bilinear Filtering, but the image is too soft for my liking. By default, it is set to Point Filtering, and software filter: None Any alternatives?
KaosEngineer
What version of the emulator are you using? IIRC, V15b14 is the latest release.

I just updated to v15b14, but the graphics still have this wavy effect when scrolling.

KaosEngineer
You might try a different NES emulator. There are a couple other options - NEStopiaX and RetroArch.
XC-3730C
Oh, I never looked into Retroarch for Xbox. What cores does it support, and are there any skins/frontends for it?Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
KaosEngineer
RetroArch has 3 different cores for NES: fceumm, nestopia, quicknes. And, a cores for 19+ other systems. As to skins etc, I don’t know. The nestopia 2.2 statement was wrong. So, I removed it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
XC-3730C
I figured out why the scrolling was having a wavy effect. I set Configuration -> Video Configuration -> Other Video Configurations -> Xbox Hardware Filtering and change it to Bilinear Filtering, then software filter to Simple 2X, and I changed Soften Display to No. As far as Retroarch, what advantages does it have over other emus?
