  1. Hi. I have been stuck on this for a few days now. I have managed to softmod my 1.6 (broken IDE slowed me down but I finally got the HDD switch out to work). Now I'm trying to find out how to download Emulators and ROMs. I'm networked with my xbox on my old ThinkPad running WinXP. I can't find a FileZilla that works with WinXP. I found Stella for Atari 2600 but I can't figure out how to get it to unzip or not unzip and then transfer to the xbox. I've also downloaded River Raid ROM. I can see the folders... then I go to my Unleashed screen on Xbox and I see the files ONLY in FILE EXPLORER. I find the file for Stella and River Raid but then I push A and nothing happens. It just sits there. I'm frustrated. All the videos and tutorials SKIP the download and zip or unzip and just have the right file ready to transfer. Do I need an FTP? Or can I just use network connection? Do I use WinRAR to unzip both the Emu file and the ROM? Grrr. Any assistance is appreciated. Gator
  2. hi so rather that downloading the massive version i opted to add stuff to the lite version only problem is when i added say n64 or psx roms/isos to the correct folders it doesn't reflect in coinops what am i doing wrong?
  3. Hey, I’ve been away from Xbox too long. I see Isozone is gone, where do you do for ISOs, ROMs, and Apps?
  4. So far I've tried folders, zip files, raw/loose files in roms/scummvm and emulators/scummvm/roms, and creating .svm files with shortnames in them, no luck though. I'm wondering if anyone else has this working and can offer some guidance here. Loader.xbe in scummvm sees and loads them fine
  5. Sorry for opening another topic so soon, with the other one un-replied, I just needed to know how to properly manage the upload of roms and emulators on a hard-modded Xbox with Slayers 2.7 as default dashboard. Basically, I got a lot of roms and some good new emulators (alongside the ones which were already installed with the dashboard). Where do I put each roms (they're a lot of stuff)? Do I need to make folders like "Nintendo 64", "Nes", etc.. asking you this because there's a "Roms" folder in "F:" drive but many of the files can have the same name (as they're usually in .zip format). Do I have to place the roms in specific folder of the emulator or there's a specific setting to follow ? Should emulators be uploaded in "Emulators" or "Games" folders ? thanks
  6. I am in the process of setting up Rocky5's excellent XBMC Emustation dashboard and am finishing it off with the C64 section at the moment. Is there a way to get the nice cover art like you can for the other emulators which I have had the luxary of fixing easily thru the downloads on XBMC Emustation?
  7. Unsure how to install roms for my emulators in xmbc4gamers
  8. Ninja load roms in OK time, but coinops is very slow. Any posibility to reduce loading times? I like coinops, because of its easier interface. Ninja is awesome, but fast scrolling through hundreds of roms is kinda slow.
  9. Hey I am having an issue with emustation and adding Sega games. I have SNES and NES all setup. When I go and add my Sega ROMs they cut off the last letter of most of my ROMs names. Which then it won't allow me to link my artwork. I can't seem to get around this. Any one else experience this. Could it be my rom set? The games all work as they should just the art work and names being cut off. They are .Md. Designation. I have tried it under both genesis and mega drive
  10. Hello, So, I am completely new to this and have watched hours of videos on YT and read many forum posts trying to figure this out. But, I am not succeeding in getting an emulator to run on my xbox. So, here is what I have and what I've done. I purchased an already softmoded xbox a year ago that has UnleashX on it with all the Xbox games loaded and emulators running (Genesis, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64, Playstation). I FTP'd all the roms/games from that xbox to my computer . I have a second xbox that I have softmodded using Rocky5's method and I have installed Emustation because I prefer the way that looks and the way it is setup. I have a 2TB drive installed that seems to be working fine and I have a F and G partition that are about 960GB each that I want to put my games and roms on. I have transferred about 8 Xbox games to the F drive and they are working. I have used the "other settings" menu to redirect Emustation to look for roms at F:/Games. I moved the emulator (and the emulator roms folder) and media folders to the G drive and redirected to those. No matter where I stick the Sega Genesis emulator roms, when I scan (either a complete scan or selected one), it doesn't see them. What the heck am I doing wrong? I have tried the roms in what I thought was every logical folder with no luck. So here are some questions... 1) What should the folder structure look like? Where do the roms need to go and do I need to move my emulator folders back to the much smaller E drive? 2) I know some emulators like specific roms. Could it be that even though these roms work fine under UnleashX that they are not compatible with the emulator loaded on Emustation? If so, can I just install the emulator that is running on my UnleashX Xbox on my Emustation Xbox? 3) Can I utilize both the F and G drives for my games and roms? It seems that Emustation will only let me direct to one drive for roms, in this case I have it pointed to the F partition. Please let me know if there is any other information that is needed. I assume I am just doing something boneheaded and stupid, I just can't figure it out. Thank in advance!
  11. Hi, I've managed to do all of the steps to install the unleashedx softmod via usb and splinter cell, the ftp settings, placing the snes9x X folder in the correct location, and getting the emulator to show up on the console. All i had left to do is simply hit the A button on any one one of the Roms to start them up, and yet nothing happens when i do that? The A button works fine for literally everything else except starting the Roms. I'm hoping it's because i have an off brand madcatz controller, and not an original xbox controller. Or maybe it's something more simple than that? Corrupted Roms maybe?
  12. My PS1 set fails to transfer all the games. I think i read somewhere that there is a cap of how many files can fit in a folder. Can i make a second folder for roms like in MAME?
  13. Hi everyone. New to the forum here. First I'd like to say thank you to the community for keeping such an awesome gaming device alive! It was my first step into modding and I've been addicted since haha. Anyway... I'm looking for a rom pack with/without emulators that is setup specifically for a stock 8gb HDD softmodded xbox, to be used with FTP or from a disc. I've run into some issues with transferring files via FTP. One has to do with the naming limit, and another is an error I can't figure out. But of the SNES library only, there are about 170 games that won't transfer. So I was looking for a pre-made pack of adjusted names and such that my xbox would take without issues. Not sure if one exists or not. It's a project that would consume a huge amount of my time which is why I'm asking for help. Even if there is a way to batch-rename them, that would work also. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  14. I've noticed that roms on CoinOps take much longer to load when using a PATA-SATA adapter and a 2TB HDD - is this a known issue? Thanks
