About Me

  1. Since the Sickmods site has vanished i thought it might be worth saving the information from there open source projects. Having a backup of the user manual, source code and the shematic can't hurt. So here are the files for anyone who wants to build a couple Xerc2s. And for anyone who wants to build them i uploaded my panelized Layout here: Xerc2 Panelized Have fun building and using the Xerc2 ir mod! Xerc2 Firmware.zip XERC2XE-UsersManual.pdf
  2. Back in the day there were some great Option Files and Iso patches made for the Pro Evo Soccer games, but as is the nature of the internet all links to those files are now long gone. Does anyone out there have any of the files lurking anywhere on a an old hard rive or pc, or has a patched copy of a Pro Evo game on their xbox hard drive. You can tell if a game is patched generally as all the team names will be real, the stadiums will have real products in their advertising boards and the music will be changed on the menus. there are other things that are changed but these are the most obvious. I have a Patched copy of Pro Evo 5 on my hdd with its matching Option file and it makes the game so much better. The game is named ProEvoSoccer5.4.2. so that must be what the patch version was named. I cant share it here for obvious reasons but if i can work out a way to get the patched files only then maybe i can upload those. I would put a link to d/l the iso but that would be frowned upon I believe....... I can though i think upload the option file...... If any of you have anything then get in touch as id love to get some more of the old patches etc and im sure there were iso mods for other games too. pro evo 5 save.rar

  4. I'm looking for a BAT file that takes .mp3 files from ResurrectionXtras's PC Engine CD romset and converts them to .wav format, the reason behind this is MednafenX-PCE doesn't get along with .mp3 files while emulating PCE-CD ROMS, what I mean by that is while in game the emulator plays through the first music or sound file in the folder for a few seconds then cuts to the next .mp3 file and basically do this all the time for every game and their respective mp3 files. If there isn't any bat file available to download, I would appreciate an easy and quick way to convert those files and edit the cue files by myself.
  5. Should I be downloading iso files to my og xbox.
  6. Hope its OK to ask this here Ive been trying to upgrade a couple of Xboxes now, for the last month and a half Its been one problem after another. Anyway, Im at the point where everything Is working, but I still have a problem For some strange reason, I Initially was only able to copy around 300GB of files to F or G drive So did some Investigation, and found some Information...found a recommended BIos...patched it using Evtool to LBA48 v3.0 Flashed the Bios and thought everything was solved. It was showing as LBA48 v3.0 In XBPartitioner But now, It will only allow me to copy 500Gbs of data before file transfer errors. So...can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, upload the BIOS files I require, both for v1.0 to v1.5, and v1.6 Xboxes, already patched as necessary, and tested working to allow the full 2Tb hard drive usage. Just standard modchips... Duox2 and Aladdin...nothing special...on standard Xboxes I would really appreciate this help, because basically I dont know what Ive done wrong, or what else to do Thankyou
  7. Something I've noticed when copying games over is that some files with particularly long file names, such as fem_shirts_quicksilver_hoodie_logo2_d.img.xbx from Tony Hawk's Project 8, fail to transfer over. Ultimately I've never found that a game stops working when something like this happens. My question is, if these file names are too long for the Xbox filesystem, how were the textures ever loaded from the disc when playing from a DVD drive? It's something I've wondered for a while now.
  8. I've been experimenting with skinning my UnleashX and wanted to change the small green Xbox icon that appears next to menu entries without a predefined icon. I found this file under E:\UDATA\9e115330\0064122817A8\xbox4.xbx. I wasn't able to extract the file with XBX tools, so I grabbed the same icon off of the internet, did my work in Gimp and converted it back to DDS then to a 128x128 xbx file. UnleashX opened and displayed it properly in the file explorer and I was able to overwrite the default xbox4.xbx. My issue however, is that when I reload the dashboard, UnleashX overwrites my modified file with the default green Xbox icon, negating my changes. I'm able to set the icon of each menu entry manually, with menu edit, but this has the consequence of displaying the icon over the blue animated Xbox logo, which I do not want. My question is, where do I go from here? Am I able to set the directory where the icon lives to be read-only somehow? If not, how can I go about permanently modifying this file? Thanks in advance.
  9. I recently picked up a used Seagate Barracuda 400gb IDE drive to put in as an upgrade for the stock drive on my hardmodded 1.6 Xbox. I also upgraded the IDE cable to an 80 wire, and seemed to have absolutely no problems getting it to work. Once I started FTPing games over, though, it stops adding anything new onto the drive after ~150gb. The files take up the space they should, but can't be seen or accessed at all after a power cycle. I looked into it and saw it was potentially a cluster size issue, but since my drive is only 400gb the maximum cluster size is 32, which I set it to. I've tried wiping the partition and starting over a few times, but this problem persists. Anyone know what could be causing it? I unfortunately can't connect the drive to my PC right now since I don't have any IDE to SATA adapter.
  10. I just installed a 2TB SSD in my Xbox, as the previous HDD I had in it died. Once I got a dashboard installed (UnleashX 0.39.0528A), I started copying over my games. After 145 games, I started getting errors during FTP. When required, the FTP client would create subdirectories, but then trying to change in to the newly created sub directory would fail. All file uploads would fail as well. I've tried both FileZilla and WinSCP and both have the same problem. Here's the error from WinSCP: Dir already exists in cache! "/F/Games/<game name>/DATA": Directory not found. I deleted the cache volumes on the Xbox, but the error continues to happen. As it stands, I'm unable to upload anything else to the F volume. There's 708GB free on F, so disk space shouldn't be a problem. I also did a test using the File Manager app on the Xbox. I created a subdirectory in F:\Games and then copied a file from the E: over to the new subdirectory. The file doesn't show up in the subfolder. I did have the my games split between F and G before, but that was because of how the volumes were original configured and there wasn't enough space on a single volume. I should be able to fit everything on F, but this issue is stopping me from doing so. In case it matters, I'm using an M8Plus BIOS with LBA48 support which is patched for the XboxHD+. Both F and G are partitioned to about 972GB each.
  11. Had to do a fresh install of FlashFXP. Cannot remember how to move 0-byte files. Just changed the Transfer Mode to Binary instead of Automatic. Hopefully that will fix it. Looking from some help on this one. Thanks.
  12. Is there anyone who is in possesion of the force 480P files? they where shared by mr. Nova at assemblergames. I am in desperate need for these files for the hdmi mod, most larger tv's do not support 480I over HDMI. thank you for sharing already, i will post a tutorial for adding a WII2HDMI inside an xbox soon, have 4 of them running already ;-).
  13. Hi guys, My problem is that i can connect to ftp via filezilla and i can also download games from my hard drive but if i want to upload games it always says connection to server lost... and then retries. What i have is a Alladin XT plus and evolution x. Maybe someone knows the problem.
  14. Hello everyone! Something very strange is happening with my softmodded xbox and I really can’t figure what’s wrong. I recently got a used xbox in very good condition, cleaned thoroughly, clock capacitor removed, top notch condition overall. So, I installed a new 1TB WD hard drive (WD10EZEX) and everything went great. In the Hexen options I selected to make a big partition so I can put the games in there. So, long story short, I transferred a whole lot of games with FTP using a crossover cable, directly from my laptop to my xbox, since the Ethernet method gave me low transfer speeds. Everything was going great and at last I had a big library to choose and enjoy, even downloaded a big coinops pack! So, as you can tell I spent countless hours just transferring every day. I played daily for 1-2 weeks with no problems at all. Then one day, all of a sudden I saw that coinops was missing and some of the games also. To my surprise, they were magically deleted, and it messed up the games folders, for example there was just an empty folder with the game name and nothing in it. I couldn’t find any info online, so I decided to start transferring again and see if it will do this again. And at that point I started getting errors in Filezilla, half of the files were transferring and the others failed. The ones that fail are always the same files, everytime in every game. I even tried a different cable, but the result was the same. Another weird thing is that the later partitions (X,Y,Z) sometimes have weird files in them and other times are empty, for example at one point there was a 500MB file called gta3image.iso or something like that, and at other times, just random assorted files that it creates and deletes by itself. I never mess with those partitions, it does this by itself. The only partition I access is F which is the main ~900GB partition with my “Games” folder. So now, I’m with a half-broken xbox and can’t really tell what’s wrong. Any advice or info what may be wrong (maybe something similar has happened to someone here), will be greatly appreciated! I’m attaching a Filezilla report with a game I just tried transferring (25 to Life is the game), maybe someone could figure something from the report: https://pastebin.com/cCgfgpvf Please help me out fellas! Thanks!
  15. Hello, i just put a 2TB drive in my original xbox and put some games in it. I went to extract Resources4XBMC v1.0 so i could ftp the artwork over and got an error message. I'm trying to re-download Resources4XBMC v1.0 and i cant find it anywhere? Can anyone help? I think it was around 12 gig's.
  16. Hi! I was looking for unnecessary files on my xbox hardrive when i saw this: I realised that i have dashboard that i don't need. I opened it and saw that it even wasn't EvoX, but UnleashX (idk why). I already have UnleashX, but in different directory (C:/Dashboard). I need help which files to remove that are part of the unnecessary dash (I wanna keep the folders: Alt Dashboard, Applications, Backups, CACHE, MP3, PICS, TDATA, Trainers, UDATA and Video). Thank you!
  17. Hello, Whenever I get interested in a new subject, I always do a deep dive to find all sorts of information on it, and the Xbox is no different. Well while searching for a datasheet of the Xbox mcpx chip, I stumbled upon a bunch of files. Some are seemingly random, while other have to do with Avalaunch development, or pictures and files of xbox hardware. I don't know if much of the files or pictures are particularly helpful, but I find them interesting if nothing else. Here is the website in question: http://www.crusaders.no/~joker/old_web/ Maybe someone can figure out what's relevant for this community and combine it all together. DobaMuffin
  18. I have very badly scratched games and want to create backup disks. It took me quite some time to repaid Colin Macree 04 to work on DVD2XBOX - finally after using magic eraser I managed to get the xbox to read the disk and extract the ISO using DVD2XBOX - however - when I went to copy the ISO to my pc - it turns out there is an ISO just over 4GB and another ISO just over 2GB - any idea why there is 2 ISOs? Thanks
  19. Hi, Basically I want to transfer files from my Xbox hdd and make a backup onto my PC. my Xbox has a sata drive installed via IDE to Sata adapter. If I was to just take out the Sata drive and hook it up directly to my PCs motherboard via Sata cable could I put the contents of my hdd onto my PC? Using xplorer or is that not a quicker way to add/remove games? Most people say ftp for everything I’m relatively new to modding any advice is useful thanks

  21. Hey all this is my first post on this forum. Thought I should share the schematics for the old AussieChip Dual Mod and Cheapmod mod chips. From what I understand this company went under in 2003 when the Australian government started to try and outlaw mod chips; the same time when many other governments were trying to do the same. AussieChip decided to give back to the community and release the build entirely for free. The files are for an old program called Protel though it is now called Altium Designer. Altium is very very VERY expensive (7k+ a year) though they have a free trial if you want to take a gander at the design files. I was trying to convert it for use in KiCad and Eagle though I'm not very familiar with these programs yet and the implications exports cause on schematic data. I started to do some research into seeing if any major developers such as Team Exodus released their schematics. (I really wish they would) That's how I came across this. Do you have schematics for mod chips? I encourage you to share them. In today's age we should be open sourcing old technology such as this instead of letting it die into a forgotten history. Happy modding, nerds. -iRuinLunches The contents of the zip: AussieChipModChips.zip
  22. I'm trying all methods of XBOX modding: softmodding with exploit is learned and understood, later steps will be TSOP (v1.2) and modchip (v1.2/v1.6) but for now I decided to replace the original 10GB Seagate HDD with a 80GB 7200rpm Seagate HDD because the original is reporting below 50% health with Acronis Drive Monitor. I went with XBOXHDM 2.2a because I already had a FAT32 flash drive for booting ISOs, so I just extracted the content, added the entries from menu.lst to my menu.lst, copied eeprom.bin to \eeprom folder and extracted v5960 dashboard files from Clean_C_and_E_Files_for_Xbox.7z to \hdm\C. It couldn't be simpler: Boot Slax, run xboxhd2 from command window (phase 2), run xboxhdm to create C/E/F partitions and autocopy the dashboard, lock the HDD with xboxhd2 again, insert HDD in the XBOX. All was OK until I booted the XBOX and was greeted with error 21. A quick Google search indicated it might be related to missing dashboard files, so I checked the C partition content with a quick hotswap, Windows XP and Xplorer360 beta6, and discovered that the files were copied in the 8.3 DOS naming scheme. For example, the "xboxdashdata.185ead00" folder was copied as "xboxda~1.185", the "XBox Book.xtf" file was copied as "xboxbo~1.xtf" and so on. Deleting all files and dropping them into Xplorer360 again solved the naming problem and the XBOX booted correctly. (EDIT: for some strange reason, partition E had duplicated folders: tdata, udata, TDATA and UDATA) So the question is: Why did Slax/QEMU copied the files in 8.3 format?
