I'm not a huge fan of mounting PCBs on the outside of my Xbox, so I came up with a way to use controller ports with an internal OGX360 (latest firmware supports OG controllers) and I thought I'd share. This is just a USB hub designed to use the Xbox's proprietary connectors, your motherboard plugs into the OGX360's Pro Micro boards, the OGX360 and controller port cables plug into the hub. I included a few extra headers, two are for video sync lines (CLK A and CLK B) which get passed from the motherboard to the controller ports, though I have not tested if OG Xbox lightguns will work (I don't have any). There's also a DC header so you can power the hub/peripherals from a +5V source inside the Xbox, I've been using the Molex HDD connector so no soldering is required to install it. The power source automatically switches to the DC header once a +5V source is plugged in (using a TPS2116DRLR power switch). If all you want to use is a 360 wireless PC adapter, the extra power isn't really needed. It mounts on the rf shield, above the middle tab for the faceplate. The latest version of the board (pictured above) fits all Xbox models: Here's the link to the GitHub, it includes wiring diagrams for making your own cables and gerbers for that USB adapter^ A couple of notes: Memory cards will not work with this, OG Xbox communicators probably won't work either. v1.6 Xboxes need cable extensions for their controller ports since their wires are too short to reach the hub. If anyone has an OGX360 and a lightgun setup, I'd be willing to send out a kit with video sync headers and connectors to test and see if they work.

Hello, I have a chipped Xbox with all the goodies: FTP access, 2TB hard drive, XBOX4gamers as default, etc... I'm the original owner and I never connected it to Xbox Live! I would like to connect it to Insignia but I believe that my dashboard needs an update... My dashboard version is 4817 How can I install V2 Xbox Live for Insignia? I already have an Insignia registration! THANK YOU! and have a good weekend! Also, my XBOX4gamers version is 1.2.122 and I can FTP to it but when I click the URL downloader updater is says no network access but I'm sure that it's connected to the internet! I just want to update the game trainers! any way to do that manually? Thanks again!

I'm looking for something that can stress an Xbox a bit and that I can leave running for stability testing. Can anyone suggest a game with rendered scenes that loop or maybe an app that's made for this?

I need someone's help to compile a project of an image converter to .XTF for HL2 Xbox and I have everything you need thanks to a friend from the XeNTax forum and he wrote to me, but I need this to be compiled together with some more information contained in other files.... Hi there, my Xbox is already softmodded with Rocky5s Softmod. On this machine I used the older softmodding-method via an old PC with P-ATA connectors (hot swapping etc). I already upgraded the outdated softmod with Rocky5s Extras Disc. But I will get another Xbox to softmod and for that reason I want to test a just bought Splinter Cell Game Disc on my ALREADY softmodded machine. Is that safe? I planned to just get to the point where I load the "Linux" savegame in Splinter Cell (after that the Xbox's light turns red and you usually get to the XBOX softmodding screen, where it says "Press A Button") At that point I'd say the game disc works and I'd simply turn of my console. Hello all i want to do a DVD Perspex mod on my XBox Samsung player. i’ve looked all over the internet and the only place I found supplying a MOD is GhostCase.com. There is a company that will cut the Perspex for me but they want a DXF file or ai formats. I want to do a similar MOD to STUDIO-FR has anyone done this MOD before? how can I make a DFX file? Are all the Xbox 360 GhostCase – Clear Disk Drive Lid MODs sold out & gone from existence?

I was browsing eBay to buy a cable as suggested, as prices of Startech are way too high for me and I have already a cheap adapter (green one, that seems to make the HDD run and "buzz" as usual, red led turns on, but no identification of HDD by SlayerEvox installer... that just pretends to format and install in some seconds all the contents then says "Done" but actually not). What "magic words" (meaning requirements) should be checked to find the right one ? For example, are this or this ok? What makes them different from the original Xbox cable (just a curiosity) ?

So, I have two Xboxes that I want to set up roughly the same way. One will be a back up as it has always been that. Ideally I would use the same type chips but that may not be the best given my situation. I know very little about the modding scene but I'm trying to figure it out. I can't even figure out where to buy chips yet lol. Every place seems to be out. The most important things to me are storing games on a bigger hard drive and the ability to play on insignia. Maybe some slight performance Tweeks too but honestly I'm pretty good rocking the stock unit. I have over 100 disks I would like to toss on the hard drive and then store the physical copies someplace safe. I will never use emulators or anything else on these systems. Xbox 1- My original system from 2001. It's a v1.0. Disk drive has failed and the hard drive is rumbly but still boots. The clock cap has been removed but it does have some trace issues with the power\eject button but has worked as is for the last several years. I just use the tray open button for everything based on length of press. The dead disk drive has shelved it for a while now. Xbox 2- found on the side of the road. Works perfectly. It's a v1.6 though so not ideal. I haven't opened it up yet but I assume it's all oem. I will be using this ones hard drive on the other one if needed for any reason. I am currently using this one as my primary though the other one has a custom case and I prefer it.

I have Jafars programmed with os support and XblastOS for sale. It functions the same as an Xblast Aladdin, it's just better looking. Right now I have Clear/Copper + Black substrate + ENIG for $25 but I'll have some cheaper boards in other colors later in the month. I bought this Xbox new and rarely played it. It is not modded. I pulled it out a month or so ago and it wouldn't play. I had the drive professionally replaced. It worked for a while. Now it will not power up. I just want to see what I can get for it. Also included are two like-new controllers, power cable, composite cable, standard component cable, and upgraded TKS Custom component cable. The TKS cable is a huge upgrade! I seen very little of it floating around out there very curious if anyone has any information how to obtain one.... yes yes I know completely unnecessary but very fun to mess with. I've even toyed with the idea of taking the journey down the path of constructing my own.

I have 2 sada drive I want to use for HDD upgrades for my og Xboxes. Do the hdds need to be wiped before using? If so any suggestions on a wiping/cleaning program for the hdds? Any suggestions or comments welcomed. Thanks

Hello! I know there is a beta version of FATXplorer available and it supports the original Xbox. Is there any good tutorials on how to get started? Other than plugging in my OG Xbox hdd into my computer with FATXplorer running that is as far as I got. Nothing showed up for a drive to use so hopefully I'm missing a super simple step to get started.

Right now I have: 1 Red 3 Blue 2 White 2 Black 2 Purple I also have parts for more (besides blue) if needed. They're flashed to XeniumOS MakeMHz 2.3.5, have all been tested to boot to a BIOS, and come with 2x7 pin headers. I also have LPC rebuild boards for 1.6 consoles if you need that. I'm doing a port of "The Orange Box" For OG Xbox using the official port of HALF-LIFE 2, The Project is already 90% finished and I'm in the last step which is REPACKAGE the files to .XZP (Only)....... In it will include; HALF-LIFE 2 (With some improvements), EPISODE ONE, EPISODE TWO AND PORTAL.... Does not contain TEAM FORTRESS 2 due to Xbox being too weak for it If someone help me create a repackager of .XZP files the game will be completed, anyone available?

I have a OpenXenium modchip with a EvoXm8+ bios. My default dash is UnleashX e:\Dash\UnleashX) but I have XMBC4Gamers and XBMC-Emustation also installed (e:\apps\respective folder.) I installed the dashloader customizer and setup the buttons I want to use. Though when I boot and hold or frantic push the buttons nothing changes and it always boots into unleashx. Tried searching around and seems like all the posts I found talked about running Dashloader customizer with ind bios not EvoX. Will it work with EvoX? Also where it says "Set Custom Dash" is that setting the default if no button is pressed? Because that is also set as XBMC4gamers yet it still loads Unleashx.

Hi. I just got a second xbox classic, but with the problem that it's missing the hard drive. It's hard-moded with xc-changer chip. I have some knowlage, but still need some help. My plan is to first backup the eeprom using rpi or arduino (i have both). After that I have to find a compatible hdd (or maybe ssd). And at the end I have to use the eeprom backup to change the hdd key using a pc (forgot the name of the program). Correct me if i'm wrong. I appreciate your help.

Hello all! I've been tinkering around with my X3 OG Xbox to get it ready for Insignia, and the main issue I'm having is that every time I try to access the original MS Dashboard - I can hear the astronaut/space background sound, so I know it's *there*, but it's a black screen. I believe this has SOMETHING to do with the resolution my xbox is running in: I am using an XOSVP/component cable and the xbox is set to 480p/720p+1080i disabled. IIRC the MS Dashboard is... 480i? Could that be why I only get a black screen when trying to access the Xbox Live account settings? I managed to get it to appear after messing around with a bunch of settings and hauling a scart TV out and connecting it via a scart connector, but as this is a huge hassle, is there some way to access this dashboard without screwing up all my resolution settings? I see a "Modded Microsoft Dashboard 5960" available for download via XBMC4GAMERS but I'm afraid to download that in case it screws up xbmc4gamers. Anyone able to help please?
