Just extend the wires, easy enough to do with basic soldering skills. If you want to be safe do 1 wire at a time as they are all yellow wires as I'm sure you know. I can always make you 1 if your desperate.

@coffinbirth I've used a UV protection wax polish on it as painting a clear coat in my opinion may not work, and would require a good finish to look right.

@SS_Dave Thanks mate, I imported it from Spain, so it was most probably kept in the chain smokers window, heat plus smoke = awful orange xbox

Thanks Hucz, I'm well pleased and would be willing to do a tutorial if anybody wanted. If what OGXbox Admin said is true I'm assuming I'm the first person to have success with restoring this console.

Thanks @crushingyourhead I had to do it mate I want it on display in my games room and it looked liked it had come from a chain smokers den I will be painting 1 of my Crystal xboxs orange tint soon, so that will be the only orange xbox I own.

UPDATE - Well against all advice I decided to retrobrite my console and I'm only updating this post to give hope to someone else who may be in the position I was in. I live in UK and used the Bblonde and cling film method, I did a test piece on the bottom of the case a few days ago and had no issues so I went all in and the results are amazing.
