I've had problems with corrupted files that have done this. Also some files may be missing. I would try to find another copy or turn it into an .iso with qwix then burn with imgburn.

It's a good idea. I know someone who had to do that because the drive he was cloning to used too much power to run off a molex splitter. I never saw that problem before then but he has a 1.6 and I know their psu are different so maybe that had something to do with it.

I don't have time to check right now but I don't remember having that problem. If you have UnleashedX running check that the higher resolutions are enabled under video settings. Also I know znes has different skins for different resolutions. Maybe the same for surreal

For some reason when I enable highdef in soft mod it doesn't always stick. Try the steps in this thread. Sounds reasonable. I didn't realize this would be coming from across the pond. Am I correct in assuming since the picture is being converted to digital it should work fine out of the box for most hdtv sets, or would I have to switch my ntsc console to pal since it will be receiving an analogue pal (presumably) component signal before conversion? Sorry my pal\ntsc knowledge could use some expanding.

Well said. Speaking as someone who intends to do his first TSOP in the very near future I found this to be very informative. Something as technical sounding as a TSOP always seemed somewhat intimidating and until recently I never even took the time to look into it. Posts like yours that put these things into Layman's terms really help bring difficulty into perspective.
