XBMC-Emustation and XBMC4Gamers are both awesome. I use both on various Xboxs I have. You can definitely get CoinOPS and Ninja to appear in the menu. To use it as the default dash, simply make a shortcut using xbeshortcutmaker to the default .xbe for XBMC-Emustation and place it in the c drive. I usually edit the current dash in the c drive to evoxdash_bak.xbe. Then name the shortcut you created to evoxdash.xbe (assuming you are currently using the unleashx dash). This way if you decide to go back to booting from your original dash, just delete the shortcut you added and remove the _bak from the original file.

Hi @Rocky5, I have run into an issue with Favorites in XBMC-Emustation on three of my Xboxs. I go through the process of adding a game to favorites and receive the confirmation that the game has been added. The favorites banner displays the number of games added but when I go into the favorites list I just get a blank screen. I have tried deleting the favourites.xml file as well as the favourites.backup file but this doesn't resolve the issue. Do you have any ideas what might be causing this?

The roms from v1.18 did work in v2.1. I also found out that v2.1 uses the 0.84 mame romset.

Does anyone know what mame romset Mameoxtras v2.1 uses? Will the roms from Mameoxtras v1.18 work with v2.1? Thanks.

I use 7200 rpm drives in my Xboxs and notice a performance boost over 5400 rpm drives. I'm sure they must run a little hotter since they spin faster but I havent noticed my Xboxs running too hot.

Hi Guys. I just wanted to share that I used Bare Contuctive Electric Paint for the first time today to TSOP flash one of my Xboxs and it was the easiest TSOP flash I have ever done. I used a toothpick to apply the paint. The paint is kind of thick and it was really easy to apply. I bought it at Amazon. Hi Guys. I received the Hyperkin HDMI cable today that I ordered a few days ago. Unfortunately it didn't perform any better than the Pound cable, in fact I think the Pound cable is better. I have five XBOXs; three v1.0s, one v1.3 and one v1.4. All of my XBOXs have the Conexant video encoder except for the v1.4 which has a Focus video encoder. Of the five systems I have, two of the v1.0s work well with the Pound cable and the Hyperkin cable, (no interference or noise in the signal). But with one of the v1.0s as well as the v1.3 and v1.4 there is noise and interference with both the Pound cable and the Hyperkin cable, although it's worse with the Hyperkin cable. Also, when I called Hyperkin today to discuss this with them and ultimately request a refund, they were quite rude. I had high hopes for this cable but was left very dissapointed. Just wanted to share this with everyone incase you were considering getting one. I wouldn't recommend it.

I checked everything and the pins and traces all seem fine. My guess is that the bios is bad. I tried to TSOP flash it today and it failed. I'm sure I followed the steps properly but it wouldn't flash. Oh well, I'm chalking this one up to a bad MB / bios.

I can't explain it, but it stopped after changing out the hard drive.

I don’t think it’s the front panel button since I have tried this motherboard in two different cases with the same result. Also, other motherboards work in both cases. But it could certainly be traces you mentioned. I’ll have to pull the board again and look closely at the pins and traces you mentioned. Thanks again for your suggestions.

Thanks Kaos. I think you are right. I’m going to install a new one today. Do you know if there is a way to make an image file of the XBOX hard drive that could be used to load onto other hard drives for other TSOP Ed Xbox’s after I get everything set up the way ai want it? Or would I just have to use chimp to clone the hard drive?

I've got a v1.0 tsoped XBOX with a 1tb hard drive in it. There is about 600gb of space free. Recently, the microsoft flubber screen began to stutter when starting my XBOX. It never used to do this. I connected a different hard drive to the system and it started up without stuttering. Any idea what causes this? Is there some sort of maintenance that should be done on these systems once in a while to prevent this? Is my hard drive going bad? Thanks.

I've got a v1.4 XBOX with an issue with the DVD drive not opening. I have already taken it apart and replaced the belt in the Phillips dvd drive. Then decided to swap drives with another working XBOX that also has a Phillips drive. After the swap, the issue remains with the original XBOX I was working on. In other words, the working drive from another XBOX now won't open. Meanwhile, the drive that I swapped into the working XBOX now opens. This leads me to believe that both DVD drives are good and maybe something is up with the motherboard in the original v1.4 I am working on. Do you guys have any ideas what could be causing this? Is my v1.4 motherboard bad? It seems to open if there is no disc in the tray. Once I put a disc in the tray it will read it and start the game. When I try to eject the game the screen goes black and the disc will not eject. It behaves the same way with both dvd drives I have tried it with and I have verified that both dvd drives are working.

Thank you very much Wikati. I will give that a try. In FileZilla I limit the transfer connections to 4 and have it set to 5 in Unleashx. (Before doing that I had a lot of transfer failures and errors). Is there a setting like this in flash fxp? If so, how should I set it?

I was using Unleashx during the transfer. It’s the same way I have ftp’d everything to my XBOX so far.
